Students at Hempstead High School celebrated the Grand Opening of the Bobcat Corner on Monday, December 2.  The school store, which is part of the Career and Technical Education program at HHS, will be managed and ran by students in the Principles of Business, Marketing and Finance classes.

Marissa Joy, General Manager of the Bobcat Corner, oversees the store with support staff in the areas of marketing, finance, inventory, receiving, ordering, sales, and security.  After introducing her staff, Joy cut the ribbon for the Grand Opening Ceremony.

HHS Principal Eric Mullens, HISD Superintendent Dr. Angela Gutsch, and CTE Instructor Wendy Fausset were on hand to witness and celebrate the ribbon cutting ceremony with the students.

The Bobcat Corner, which is open before and after school each day, carries school supplies, snacks and spirit items.

Great things are happening in the CTE program at Hempstead ISD.  One Town. One Team. One Goal.
